The group is coordinated by Veroncia Mahoney & Len Monk.
We meet on the second Monday of each month at 7.30pm in the Ron Lowe Room at Corio.
At our July 2009 meeting Joel Gilmore showed a DVD and discussed his experiences in Vietnam working in a Saigon orphanage. We also had a report on homelessness and the Launch of a new program 'Journey to Social inclusion. Other issues also discussed were Fair Pay Commission decision on low paid workers, the new Papal Encyclical on the economy and social justice, Burmese re[ression, suicide and Tom Rowe's initiative 'Gravity', foreign aid increases to poorer countries, sex trafficking victims gain assistance.
At our meeting on 10th August 2009 we will have a speaker on businesses in Geelong.
Anybody interested in mission and social justice is welcome to come along and join in our fellowship and discussions.
